OUR HOST: Bharat Bhargava

An MBA from the Harvard Business School, our host is the Chairman and CEO of Bankworld Inc. (www.BankworldInc.com), a management consulting firm headquartered in Tysons Corner, McLean , VA. Over the last 20 years, he has managed – and also personally provided – advisory services to national governments, central banks and banks, in nearly 80 countries. Mr. Bhargava was dubbed a “thought leader” in international economic development by Booz | Allen | Hamilton.

Mr. Bhargava was an appointee of President George Bush (41) as a senior executive at the US Department of Commerce. In 1977, Mr. Bhargava became the first Indian-American to be elected to a public office in the US since 1960. He has been Chairman of NFIA (National Federation of Indian Associations), and Chairman of US Indian-American Chamber of Commerce. A former Rotarian, Mr. Bhargava was Vice President of the Philadelphia Jaycees where he initiated and oversaw programs for disadvantaged communities, youth and prisoners.

Mr. Bhargava has been published, and has spoken, extensively in the US and abroad. He was biographed in Who’s Who in Finance & Industry and Who’s Who in the World. He speaks English, Hindi, Urdu and basic French, Russian and Arabic. Originally from Jaipur, India, he and his wife, Yog, live in Great Falls, VA.
